AXYS : The Novel haunting my existance.
AXYS is the fictional and fantastic story of Mayka, a somewhat ordinary girl in her early twenties with a tendency to block out traumas from her childhood. Living in Montreal city with her teenage brother, we get to know the lifestyle of this young painter as she struggles with (almost) regular everyday situations. Until she falls back into a pattern of fainting, avoiding additional misfortunes in her memory.
This time, however, her losses of consciousness bring her to new understandings. Such as flipping through and manipulating past, and even future data. Possible events and realities. These losses are eventually replaced by GAIN of consciousness. Allowing Mayka to access and travel to other Galaxies, and parallel Universes. In doing so, she discovers unlimited potential, and uncovers some of the mysteries from her past. Getting to know her origins the hard way.
Turns out, not surprisingly, other civilizations are unpleased with Earth’s situation, and it’s inhabitants perpetuating it’s destruction. These beings have been planning the rescue of our Planet for centuries. But at what cost?
«I will never abandon my people» promises Mayka. But who exactly ARE her people? It’s going to take more than one to change the world before a greater breed takes over. But what if we were one of them?
What will it take for humans to change their course?
We all know the answer.

NOTE:
I’ve been writing since even before kindergarden. Didn’t know how, but with the alphabet I learned on children’s TV channels, worked my way around it. I insisted on making speech bubbles for my comics, like the big boys.
I wrote multiple stories growing up. Strangely enough, they have a few similarities. The main character’s personality, and the mix between reality and imaginary.
Now, in 2014, 24 years of living; I realize that they have more truths, and power, than I could’ve predicted. Many things that were, initially, simply in my imagination and for the purpose of the story, began (and still do) manifest in my reality. One way or another.
My time alone and away from social media lead to the creation of what I believe is my biggest project, and grandest adventure yet.
AXYS (Originally: Un jour de pluie (A rainy day)), was written with the purpose of changing people’s perspective. Opening us to Unity. To True Love. To Hope, Courage and Faith. Using the most artistic and raw way I (personally) could come up with. Also reading into glimpses of my particular way of seeing things.
Sweet and charming, it will dazzle you. Open and direct, it might offend you. Real and honest, I hope it’ll shake you to the core.
